Cleansing Tea will also assist in cleaning your liver, kidneys, lungs and blood.

This tea is totally natural, utilizing 5 herbs that have been used traditionally for many aspects of wellness:

Persimmon Leaf
Persimmon leaves are a good source are of important dietary antioxidants (such as vitamin A and C) and flavonoids and have been widely used as a tea in Asian countries. Scientists believe that the rich fiber and phenolic content of persimmon leaves increase the amount of lipids removed from the body as feces.  Persimmon leaves have beneficial effects on hemostasis (damage to blood vessels and capillaries), constipation, hypertension, apoplexy and atherosclerosis.

Malva Leaf (Chinese Mallow)
Often made into a tea to soothe the membranes of the digestive system, Malva Leaf is mildly astringent and diuretic and is used to treat gastroenteritis, stomach ache and conditions of the spleen. The Chinese use Malva Leaf as an expectorant and a gargle for sore throat. Malva Leaf is also thought to be a mild laxative. The seeds are used in Tibetan medicine where they are considered to have a sweet and astringent taste with a healing potency. They are used in the treatment of renal disorders, the retention of fluids, frequent thirst and diarrhea.

Holy Thistle
Holy Thistle supports the liver in the release of toxins and has been used medicinally for over 2,000 years, most commonly for the treatment of liver and gallbladder disorders. Holy thistle products are popular in Europe and the United States for various types of liver disease. Holy thistle is believed to have great power in the purification and circulation of the blood. It is such a good blood purifier that drinking a cup of thistle tea twice a day will help ease chronic headaches.

Holy Thistle is used for stomach and digestive problems, gas in the intestines, constipation and liver troubles. It is very effective for dropsy, strengthens the heart and is good for the liver, lungs and kidneys. It is claimed that the warm tea given to mothers will produce a good supply of milk. It is also said to be good for girls entering womanhood as a tonic.

Marshmallow Root / Leaf
Traditionally used to soothe and support the intestines, it is an old-time remedy for bladder infection, digestive upsets, fluid retention, intestinal disorders, kidney problems, sinusitis and sore throat. Marshmallow is a natural source of beta-carotene, amino acids, minerals and vitamins.

The primary chemical constituents in Marshmallow include substantial mucilage, polysaccharides, flavonoids (quercetin), kaempferol, asparagine, tannins, lecithin and pectin. The great demulcent and emollient properties of Marshmallow make it useful in cases of inflammation and irritation of the alimentary canal and of the urinary and respiratory organs.

Recently, Marshmallow has been used as an expectorant to treat a variety of upper respiratory problems. Marshmallow also contains large amounts of vitamin A, calcium, zinc and significant amounts of iron, sodium, iodine and B-complex vitamins. Marshmallow reduces inflammation and has a calming effect on the body.

Note: Taking Marshmallow and iron together may reduce the absorption of the iron.

Blessed Thistle
Blessed Thistle has been recorded as far back as the early sixteenth century for treating smallpox, fever, anorexia, dyspepsia, indigestion, diarrhea and flatulence. More recently it has shown to be useful for indigestion, heartburn and poor appetite. In herbal medicine today, Blessed thistle is used to treat cancer as well as infection, heart and liver ailments and fevers.

Note: Blessed Thistle should be avoided during pregnancy.  It may aggravate ulcers. Blessed thistle may interfere with the effectiveness of antacids and over-the-counter medications such as Pepcid AC and Zantac AR.

We echo Hippocrates who said that disease begins in the colon. If you want strong immunity and a high level of absorption of nutrients, consider Cleansing Tea as a great support toward that end.

If you have concerns around parasites, pair Cleansing Tea with our herbal Parasite Cleanse for an efficient process of elimination of those disease-causing organisms.

Cleansing Tea

The main objective of drinking Cleansing Tea is to regulate your bowel movements to two or three each day in order to keep the toxic waste flowing and not sitting in your digestive system for long. Delaying the passing of this toxic fecal matter may lead to numerous health conditions caused by auto-intoxification (i.e. absorbing toxins, self-poisoning) and clogging the walls of the intestines and colon with hardened waste such as decaying vegetable matter and rotting meat -- and all the bad bacteria, fungus, yeast, and parasite organisms which feed on it (some of which excrete their own poisons).

Cleaning out this fecal matter and intestinal parasites can help reverse many of the conditions listed above, which are often symptoms of auto-intoxification and/or parasite infestation and can lead to shrinking a bloated belly and shedding excess pounds.

What would happen if the plumbing pipes in your home had their internal diameter narrowed by a build-up of mineral deposits, finally got clogged up, and then the toilet waste started to back up into your kitchen sink where you washed your food? Something similar is happening in your digestive tract when the food you ingest is not moved quickly enough through your digestive tract. Ideally, our food should pass through the mouth, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (i.e. the colon), rectum, and out through the anus in about 11 to 15 hours, but in North Americans today it is taking 26 hours or more. In some constipated people, it is taking up to 70 hours (almost 3 days)! That provides a lot of time for toxins to be absorbed into the bloodstream from the decaying fecal matter in the small intestine and colon.

Is it just a coincidence that the incidence of gastrointestinal tract diseases and cancer has also increased dramatically since the time when grandparents of this generation were eating only healthy, unprocessed foods and unpasteurized dairy products from the farm - and digesting their food and eliminating the waste in about 15 hours?

The slow-moving fecal matter begins to stick to the walls of the small intestine and colon, and starts restricting the flow of waste as it builds up a layer of old feces, mucus, and dead cells. The vegetable and meat materials in that layer of stuck-on waste begin to ferment and rot and release foul-smelling gasses through the mouth and anus, while continuing to release poisonous toxins into vital organs, the bloodstream, and the rest of your body.

This mass of stuck-on decomposing material becomes food for an immense number of bad bacteria, yeast, fungus, and intestinal parasites like amoebae, flukes and worms to thrive within the body.

These are things we don't normally want to talk about or hear about - but the condition of our colon is vital to our health and well-being. And when things go wrong, it is often the cause of death. Doctors are familiar with that ancient medical advice from Hippocrates: "Death begins in the colon."

You may not hear people talking about their colons, but you can easily see the effects of a clogged colon in all those big bellies and bulging midriffs - and see how "widespread" this problem has become in our modern society. A "colon cleansing" is essential to maintaining good health - and contributes to a trim and healthy appearance!

Cleaning your colon and rectum may also be the best preventive measure you can take against the risk of colorectal cancer, pre-cancerous polyps in the colon, and those painful diseases of the colon known as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Diverticulitis, Ileitis, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) which includes Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Today, doctors have no known medical cure for Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Ulcerative Colitis (other than surgery). It looks like prevention is your only option. Between 25 percent and 40 percent of people with ulcerative colitis eventually need colostomy surgery in which part or all of the colon is cut out and removed.

In the USA, over 100,000 colostomy surgeries are performed each year to remove part or all of a diseased colon.

Medical doctors tend to treat the symptoms of a diseased colon with drugs or surgery, without getting to the real cause of the problem. Has your doctor ever told you how to PREVENT these diseases before they happen to you?

It's really up to YOU to take charge of your health and well-being. Using a complementary therapy such as cleansing your colon and gastrointestinal tract with Cleansing Tea is a simple, easy, and pleasant way to start. It's as easy as drinking two glasses of good-tasting tea per day!

It's hard these days to avoid over-processed foods loaded with chemicals, drinks laced with caffeine, and all the toxic pollution in the air and water. But you can do something to counteract their toxic effects... simply by drinking Cleansing Tea to help flush the toxins, parasites, and impacted fecal matter out of your body and restore your colon to optimum heath.
